Hiking from Profzhiem to Dobel

It was an opportunity to hike in the forest. On 25th june saturday, I was accompanied by Mr Martin Linzner and his friend Manuel Gutekunst. We started our hiking from Profziem till Dobel, the next Village. It is almost 25 kilometers. We started in the morning from Profzhiem around 8:45 am and complete our hike around 4 pm. It tooks 6 and half hour. It was an very interesting to hike around the forest and see the beautiful scenerary and the breath taking air around the valley.

On 27th June Monday, I went to one of the Biggest fun Park in Europe called Europa park. I was accompanied  by my host daughter Caroline, her boyfriend Mario and friend of her. it was an interesting day for me as it was first time to ride on roller coaster. So i have seen lots of people from the different part of the Europe and also I came across the different kind of roller coaster. It was an great for me to visit the park.

Visit to Mercedes-Benz plant in Sindelfigen and Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart

On 20th June I visited Mercedes Benz factory in Sindelfigen. It is almost one hour drive from Schoemberg. I was accompanied by my host Freimuller and her daughter Caroline. It was very shock to see how the Mercedes car are made. We had a english guide to take around the factory and he explain about the brief history about the Mercedes Benz invention and the inovation till now. Also the annual car productions and the number of employee at the plant. It was very interesting to go around the factory and to see different kind of car productions.
On 23th June Thursday I visited  Iron ore mining in Neuenbürg with My host Uwe. It was nice to visit the places how the Iron ore extract  from the ground. So we had a German guide to explain about the history of the Iron ore mining. But for me it is difficult to understand, Uwe expalin me in English after the German language. Neuenbürg is the center of an ancient mining area, where already the Celts have mined iron ore and it melted. Even in the Middle Ages and even into the 19th Century., Iron ore was mined in Neuenbürg. It was an great to visit.
On 24th june, I visited to Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart, I was accompanied by Mr Martin Linzner. It almost take 1 hour drive from Schöemberg to reach there.It was a very interesting to see the different kinds of  mercedes car from the long time back to the year 1886, the pioneering invention of Gottlied Daimler and Carl Benz. The Museum follows the chronological tour desends of the 125 years of the Mercedes Benz automotive history. It was very easy to go through, we had in english audio guide.After the visit we had seen the Stuttgart football Sradium and the football team of Stuttgart are practising for the upcoming season. so it was an interesting and relax to visit the Museum.

Visit to the Traditional Dance group in Schoemberg

On 16th June Thursday i visited the Traditional dance group in the community. I was accompanied by my host Mrs Friemuller. I met with the head of the dance group and he explains about the the dacing group, how they performed and formed the group in the community. It was an interesting to see how they performed traditional dance with the traditional songs they played. I also participated with them for dancing. it was very interesting to know that and the preservation of their traditional dance and the music.
The next day i was invited to visit one of the company called RICHARD WÖHR which is situated away from Schoemberg.The company works in different field like electronics, electrical engineering, medical and dental engineering, mechanical- and apparatus engineering, as well as metal-, plastic- and cast processing. The owner of the company,, he is one of the Traditional Dance group. He explains me about the companies productions and  visited in the field where the employeers work and also i was also introduced with his employees. Later my visits i was invited to shares something about Bhutan and the happiness in our country with his staff. It was an very interesting to have interaction with them.
On sunday 19th,  I went for the tree climbing with my host family. It is away from Schoemberg, almost 1 hour drive....called Adverture park Schloss Lichtenstein. It was an very interesting for me  and it was my first time..after tree climbing we visited Lichtenstein Fortress and walk around, looked how it was built..it was very amazing to see the castle and the views from the castle.

Cooking Bhutanese Dish called `Kewa Datshi` in Youth House.

On Thursday 9th June, It was an very interesting with youth and kids over in the youth house, as I make a plan before, i will be cooking our traditional Bhutanese food for the kids. I had cooked the dish, there were more than 10 youths who partcipated in the cooking. I also taught  them the method of cooking the Bhutanese Dish called Kewa Datshi and with the rice, more youth are really interesting to cook. We prepared two different Kewa Datshi, with onion ingredients and without, some youths they dont take onion.So we had the Dish and many kids they really enjoyed and like the dish. I also gave them the recipie of the dish. The ingredient or the recipe for the Kewa Datshi(Potatoes and Cheese)
  •  Potatoes
  • cheese, {almost any kind of white cheese}
  •  chopped onions
  • oil
  •  salt
  •  chilli  (vary amount according to your preference) 
Before that day, In the morning I was invited by Mrs Brigitte prutner to visits the Kinder clinic or Children Hospital which is located in Schoemberg, She had brief me about the hospital, the education, therapy, medicine, psychology and social work, and for the adolescents and young adults.The hospital is one of the child specialized in southwest Germany and Rehabilitation Center for Disabled child. When i go around the hospital, i had come across with the patients how they are treate, and also it was very different from our country. Mrs Brigitte had explain me in each and every corner of the clinic compartment.It was an really interestng to know and see how the child are treated at the clinic..
In evening I was also invited to visits the Fire Department in the Schoemberg. Most of them are volunteers for the community.The fire Bridgrade from the Department had explain me about the history how it was exist in the area. He had took me around the how they works, and the training they do, during the accident how they prepared to come accross, during that day it was their working day, the works are divided into groups.We just drive in the Fire Fighter Vehicle and go around and also he shows me how the ladder work during any fire accident in the places. It was very interesting to visits the place.

Visits to Black forest Museum and Glashaus Museum

On sunday 5th june me and my host Mrs Freimuller and Mrs Uwe went to visit the Black forest Museum(Schwarzwald Museum). It was an very interesting journey to visit there. On the way to Black forest Museum we visited Glashaus museum. It was an very interesting to go around the museum,The glass museum displays exhibits from 2000 years of glass history, development of glass production, And also its most popular  for the glass blowing in which everyone can make own vase. I also manage to blow the glass in green and white color vase.Later we went to christmas village, decorated huts,beautiful scenes, snow on roof and the the snoring santa claus.
After that we went to the Black forest Museum which is away from the Glasshaus museum. We  go around the museum and watch  how people have lived and worked in Black Forest farmhouses over the last 400 years. As well  farmhouses, living quarters and the working farm under one roof,  labourer’s cottage and mills, sawmills, chapels and storehouses, traditional breeds of domestic animals.From those museum I come across that the life in Black forest have different faces, the architecture, traditions, customs and trades and the way people have lived.So after my visit to the museum, I felt that the way of life in Black forest is much similar to some part of Bhutan they lived before a couple of years ago.I also met with the women in  Black forest traditional dress .
We went to see the biggest Cuckoo clock and cuckoo clock shops on the way back to home and also we visited the Lake Constance. Myself and Mrs Uwe did boating for an half hour....it was really interesting and i enjoyed the day.....around 8:30 pm we are back at home..

Happiness following Schoemberg, Germany..




 It was on Friday, June 03. 2011, Bhutanese news paper, Bhutan Observer, the article about the happiness concept in Schoemberg. I had exchanged the mail with the reporter about the relation between Schoemberg and Bhutan, the week of happiness and other exhibitions on Bhutan and the cultural programs in the week of July, with delegations from the Tourism Council of Bhutan and Royal Acadamy of Performing Arts.

Trip to Maulbronn Monastery(Le monastere de Maulbronn)

We went to visit one of the best preserved and most impressive mediaeval period Monastery on 31st May. My host Mrs Freimuller along with family and her aunty also accompanied with me for the visit. It was an really interesting to visit those place, as the Monastery was founded in 1147, it was surrounded by a huge walls, the main building was counstructed between 12th and 14th centuries.
The monastery was built in gothic style as it signified the spread of Gothic architecture during those period. Mrs Freimuller and her aunt explain me about the history of the Monastery and aslo i got an audio guide with the english. It awakend me when i go around the Monastery that the style of the practice of  religion is similar to Bhuddhism that pratciec in Bhutan in those days.
The Monastery  was also one of the inscribed as a UNESCO the World Heritage Site in the  year 1993. Even than we can see lots of visitors around....it was an very interesting day for me to visit the Monastery....
